A modern two-storey rear addition was added to an elegant traditional two-storey home. The addition included a large gourmet ground floor kitchen and eating area and a large second floor master bedroom ensuite and sitting area.

Large windows opened into a rear landscaped yard. A new garage to match the house was constructed on an existing foot print. Design and construction provided a very successful combination of traditional and modern.

This older two-storey house was completely rebuilt except for an existing front ground floor sitting room and living room.

The needs of this growing family required more modern useable space. The two storey included; basement area, ground floor, kitchen / dining / sitting area and a large master bedroom ensuite on the second floor with new bedrooms.

A mudroom entrance at the side entrance made this a very practical house.

A cold inefficient rear sitting area was replaced with an elegant eating area and sitting area with a Town and Country fireplace as the focal point.

The house is built into the hill and the rear addition is above a ground floor patio sitting area.

The design required well insulated floor space and a successful radiant heat installation. The elegant and traditional design blended with the feel of an old stone house.
